the Summit for Someone program is the #1 mountaineering fundraiser in the country, supporting Big City Mountaineers. for those of you who don’t know, Big City Mountaineers (BCM) is a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) non-profit organization headquartered in denver, co delivering transformative wilderness mentoring expeditions to under- resourced urban youth to instill critical life skills.
i was fortunate enough to grow up climbing trees, wading in streams, and sleeping under the stars. wilderness experiences have shaped me into the person i am today. it’s where i found ambition, curiosity, sharing, defeat, success, modesty, self awareness, appreciation, friendship, and love. i want nothing more than to give back to a community that supports shaping kids in a such a way.
that’s why i’m pledging to raise $8,500 for at risk youth and a summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
you can help support me by donating here ♥. you can also send ideas, auction products, suggestions, high-fives, or love my way by email firstname.lastname@example.org or through the power of the secret.
my favorite place in the whole wide world is on top of a mountain. it’s where i find peace, clarity, hope. george mallory (and everyone and their mom since then) said, “because it’s there.”
for me, i say, “because i like it on top.”
